Hemingway Grant Program

We are pleased to announce that the Hemingway Grant Program for translation, administered by the French Embassy, is now accepting applications for 2011. The French Ministry of Forgein Affairs offers several programs providing assistance for the translation and publication of French books. The grants awarded for each work range from $1000 to $6000.

This program supports books that have not yet been published and which are not supported by the Centre national du livre (French Ministry of Culture). Eligible publishers must be registered in the US. Please be advised that you can apply to both the Hemingway and French Voices programs but will not be awarded two grants for a single book.

The deadline for submitting your application is February 14, 2011.

The following deadline for the fall session is July 18, 2011.
