ParisAttacks: Message from the Consul General
" I would like to thank especially the French people who were with us during this extremely difficul moment and all of our American friends for their deep support. Thank you to all of those who have written to us or who have come to the Consulate to express their sorrow and solidarity.
Thank you to the Los Angeles Police Department for their help and support, and the Mayor Eric Garcetti, who have shown a profound solidarity with the people of France. Throughout the counties and states under our geographic jurisdiction, French flags were raised, monuments were illuminated with the colors of the French Republic, and minutes of silence were observed.
We are extremely grateful fot the support of the United Stated that have been expressed by president Obama last night but also all American people who have as usual shown an incredible amount of sympathy for France in this wave of terrible events.
Thank you very much. I know, and you’re the proof of this, that it’s always in adversity that we feel good to be gathered with France. "
Christophe Lemoine, Consul General of France in Los Angeles
